This Shipping Policy outlines our shipping practices for merchandise and our policies regarding animal transport. Please read carefully as our policies differ significantly between merchandise and livestock.

1. MERCHANDISE SHIPPING

1.1 Shipping Methods & Costs
We ship merchandise via USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on package size and destination.

**Shipping Rates:**
- Calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination
- Free shipping on orders over $[amount] (domestic US only)
- Expedited shipping available at checkout for additional fee

**Delivery Timeframes:**
- Standard shipping (USPS/UPS Ground): 5-7 business days
- Expedited shipping (2-3 Day): 2-3 business days

*Note: Delivery timeframes begin after order processing (1-2 business days) and do not include weekends or holidays.*

1.2 Shipping Locations
- We ship to all 50 US states
- We currently do not ship to PO Boxes (if applicable - adjust as needed)
- International shipping may be available for select items - contact us for quote
- APO/FPO addresses accepted

1.3 Order Processing Time
- Orders typically process within 1-2 business days
- Print-on-demand items may take 3-5 business days to produce before shipping
- Custom or personalized items may take up to 7 business days before shipping
- Orders placed on weekends/holidays will process the next business day
- You will receive tracking information via email once your order ships

1.4 Tracking Your Order
- Tracking numbers are emailed automatically when orders ship
- Track your package through the carrier's website using your tracking number
- Check your spam/junk folder if you don't see the tracking email
- Contact us if you haven't received tracking within 3 business days of order placement

1.5 Lost or Damaged Packages
**Lost Packages:**
- Packages are considered lost if tracking shows no movement for 7+ days after expected delivery
- Contact us if your package appears lost; we will file a claim with the carrier
- Once claim is approved, we will reship your order or issue a refund

**Damaged Packages:**
- Inspect packages upon delivery; refuse delivery if box is severely damaged
- If contents are damaged, photograph the package and items and contact us within 48 hours
- We will arrange for replacement or refund after reviewing photos
- Keep all packaging materials until claim is resolved

1.6 Incorrect Address
- Double-check your shipping address before completing checkout
- We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by customer
- If carrier can reroute, rerouting fees apply to customer
- If package is returned to us, we will contact you to arrange reshipment (customer pays reshipping costs)

1.7 Refused or Unclaimed Packages
- If you refuse delivery or package is returned as unclaimed, you are responsible for original shipping costs
- Refund will be issued minus shipping costs and 10% restocking fee
- Package must be returned in original condition to qualify for refund

1.8 Shipping Delays
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
- Carrier delays or service disruptions
- Weather events or natural disasters
- Customs delays (international orders)
- Incorrect addresses provided by customer
- Recipient unavailability

If significant delays occur, we will work with you to find a solution.

1.9 Local Pickup Option
- Customers within reasonable distance of Roseville, CA may arrange local pickup
- Select "Local Pickup" at checkout (no shipping charges)
- We will contact you within 1-2 business days to schedule pickup time
- Pickup available during farm visit hours by appointment only
- Bring order confirmation and ID

2. GIFT SHOP PURCHASES (On-Site)

2.1 In-Person Purchases
- Gift shop items purchased during farm visits do not require shipping
- Items are taken home same day
- Returns subject to our Return & Refund Policy

3. ANIMAL TRANSPORT - BUYER RESPONSIBILITY

**IMPORTANT: MOLLY'S MINI FARM DOES NOT DIRECTLY ARRANGE, COORDINATE, OR PROVIDE ANIMAL SHIPPING OR TRANSPORT SERVICES.**

3.1 Buyer Responsibility Statement
When you purchase an animal from Molly's Mini Farm, YOU (the buyer) are 100% responsible for:
- Arranging all transport or pickup
- Hiring and paying professional animal transporters (if needed)
- Scheduling pickup dates and times
- Providing appropriate transport vehicles and equipment
- Ensuring safe and humane transport conditions
- Complying with all state and federal transport regulations
- Animal welfare during transport
- All costs associated with transport
- Transport-related veterinary care or health issues
- Insurance or liability for transport (if desired)

3.2 Our Role is LIMITED to:
- Having animal ready for pickup at scheduled time
- Providing health records and documentation
- Loading assistance (at our discretion and availability)
- Providing referrals to professional livestock transporters upon request

3.3 What We DO NOT Do:
We do NOT:
- Arrange transport on your behalf
- Contact transporters for you
- Pay for or coordinate transport
- Guarantee transporter availability or quality
- Take responsibility for transport delays or issues
- Accept liability for injuries or losses during transport
- Provide transport vehicles or trailers
- Deliver animals to your location
- Coordinate schedules between you and transporters
- Handle payment to transporters

3.4 Professional Transporter Referrals
Upon request, we can provide names of professional livestock transporters who service our area. However:
- These are referrals only, not endorsements
- We have no business relationship with these transporters
- You must contact, vet, hire, and pay them directly
- We are not responsible for their services, rates, or conduct
- We make no guarantees about their availability or performance
- Any issues with transport must be resolved between you and the transporter

3.5 Pickup Arrangements
**Scheduling Pickup:**
- Pickup must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance
- Contact us at [your email] or [your phone] to schedule
- Provide pickup date, approximate time, and transporter name (if applicable)
- Pickups available [specify days/hours, e.g., "Monday-Saturday, 8am-5pm"]
- We reserve the right to refuse pickup during poor weather conditions for animal safety

**On Pickup Day:**
- Arrive during scheduled time window
- Bring appropriate vehicle/trailer with proper ventilation and safety features
- Bring copy of bill of sale and ID
- Be prepared to load animal yourself (we may assist but are not required to)
- Inspect animal one final time before leaving property
- Once animal leaves our property, all responsibility transfers to buyer

3.6 Transport Requirements & Recommendations
While we do not arrange transport, we strongly recommend:
- Using a professional livestock transporter experienced with your specific animal type
- Ensuring vehicle has proper ventilation, space, and safety features
- Avoiding extreme weather conditions for transport when possible
- Minimizing transport time and stress
- Having emergency plan in case of vehicle breakdown
- Checking state regulations for livestock transport across state lines
- Considering health certificates or transport permits if required by your state
- Having appropriate insurance

3.7 Transport-Related Health Issues
**IMPORTANT LIABILITY STATEMENT:**

Our health guarantee (outlined in our Return & Refund Policy) does NOT cover health issues arising from transport, including but not limited to:
- Transport stress or shock
- Injuries sustained during loading, transport, or unloading
- Illness contracted during transport
- Dehydration or overheating during transport
- Complications from transport conditions
- Delays in transport resulting in health issues

Our responsibility for animal health ends when the animal leaves our property. Any health issues occurring during or after transport are the buyer's responsibility.

3.8 Interstate Transport
If transporting animals across state lines:
- Buyer is responsible for researching and complying with all state regulations
- Health certificates, permits, or tests may be required
- We can provide necessary veterinary documentation (costs apply)
- Buyer must arrange required veterinary exams before transport
- We are not responsible for knowing or communicating regulations for your destination state

3.9 Pickup Delays or No-Shows
- Animals must be picked up on or before the scheduled date
- If you cannot make your pickup time, contact us immediately to reschedule
- Extended boarding beyond pickup date: $[amount] per day per animal
- If animal is not picked up within 7 days of purchase and no contact is made, we reserve the right to resell animal and retain deposit/payment

4. INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL TRANSPORT

We do NOT facilitate international animal sales or transport. If you are located outside the United States and wish to purchase an animal, you must:
- Arrange all import permits, quarantines, and inspections
- Hire international livestock transport specialists
- Pay all costs associated with international transport and permits
- Comply with USDA export requirements and destination country import requirements
- Understand that we cannot guarantee availability for international sales

5. INSURANCE

5.1 Merchandise Shipping Insurance
- Merchandise shipments over $200 are automatically insured
- Insurance coverage is included in shipping cost for these orders
- For valuable items under threshold, additional insurance available at checkout

5.2 Animal Transport Insurance
- We do NOT provide insurance for animal transport
- We strongly recommend buyers obtain their own livestock transport insurance
- Professional transporters typically offer insurance options
- Transport-related losses are buyer's responsibility

6. RISK OF LOSS

6.1 Merchandise
Risk of loss for merchandise passes to buyer upon delivery to the carrier.

6.2 Animals
Risk of loss for animals passes to buyer the moment the animal leaves our property, regardless of who is transporting or how transport is arranged.
