This Return & Refund Policy outlines our policies for returns, refunds, and cancellations across all products and services offered by Molly's Mini Farm. This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. MERCHANDISE & GIFT SHOP ITEMS

1.1 Standard Merchandise Returns
We want you to be completely satisfied with your merchandise purchase. If you're not happy with your item, you may return it under the following conditions:

**Return Window:**
- Items may be returned within 30 days of purchase date
- Items must be unused, unworn, and in original condition with all tags attached
- Items must be in original packaging when applicable

**Return Process:**
1. Contact us at [your email] to initiate a return
2. Provide your order number and reason for return
3. We will provide return shipping instructions
4. Ship item back to us within 7 days of receiving return authorization

**Refund Method:**
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless item is defective or we made an error

1.2 Non-Returnable Merchandise
The following items cannot be returned:
- Gift cards
- Personalized or custom items
- Items marked as "final sale"
- Items damaged due to misuse or normal wear
- Items returned after 30 days

1.3 Print-on-Demand Items
For print-on-demand merchandise (custom t-shirts, mugs, etc.):
- Items can only be returned if defective or if we made an error in your order
- We do not accept returns due to size dissatisfaction or buyer's remorse on custom items
- If item arrives defective or incorrect, contact us within 7 days with photos
- We will replace defective items or issue a full refund at our discretion

1.4 Damaged or Defective Items
If your merchandise arrives damaged or defective:
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage
- We will provide a prepaid return label
- You will receive a replacement item or full refund (including original shipping) at your choice

2. ANIMAL SALES

2.1 No Returns Policy
**ALL ANIMAL SALES ARE FINAL.** Due to the nature of livestock, we cannot accept returns of animals once they have left our property.

**Why Animals Are Non-Refundable:**
- Biosecurity concerns: We cannot risk introducing diseases to our herd/flock
- Animal welfare: Transport stress and environment changes are harmful to animals
- Traceability: We cannot guarantee care standards once animals leave our facility

2.2 Pre-Purchase Inspection
- Buyers are encouraged to visit and inspect animals before purchase
- We provide health records, vaccination history, and genetic information when available
- Buyers may arrange their own veterinary inspection before finalizing purchase

2.3 Health Guarantee (Limited)
While animals cannot be returned, we do offer a limited health guarantee:

**Coverage:**
- Animals are guaranteed to be healthy at time of sale
- Buyer has 7 days from pickup/delivery to have animal examined by a licensed veterinarian
- If a serious pre-existing health condition is diagnosed (that was not disclosed and not caused by transport/buyer care), we will offer:
- Replacement animal of equal value (subject to availability), OR
- Refund of purchase price upon return of animal

**Health Guarantee Does NOT Cover:**
- Issues arising from transport stress or buyer's handling
- Issues arising from inadequate care, housing, or feeding by buyer
- Breeding performance or fertility
- Show quality or temperament
- Normal animal behaviors or minor health issues
- Claims made after 7 days from purchase

**To Make a Health Guarantee Claim:**
1. Contact us within 7 days of purchase
2. Provide written veterinary diagnosis from licensed veterinarian
3. Provide photos/documentation
4. We will review and respond within 48 hours

2.4 Deposits on Animal Sales
- Deposits required to hold animals are NON-REFUNDABLE
- If buyer backs out of purchase, deposit is forfeited
- If we are unable to complete the sale due to animal health or death, deposit will be refunded or applied to another animal at buyer's choice

3. FARM VISITS & EXPERIENCES

3.1 General Farm Visits & Animal Feeding Experiences
**Cancellation by Guest:**
- 7+ days before visit: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
- 3-6 days before visit: 50% refund
- Less than 72 hours before visit: No refund
- No-shows: No refund

**Cancellation by Us:**
If we must cancel due to weather, animal health concerns, or other circumstances:
- Full refund, OR
- Reschedule to another date at no additional charge

**Rescheduling:**
- One free reschedule if requested 72+ hours in advance
- Subsequent reschedule requests: $25 fee
- Cannot reschedule within 72 hours of original visit time

3.2 Photography Sessions
**Cancellation by Client:**
- 7+ days before session: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
- Less than 7 days before session: 50% refund
- Day-of cancellation: No refund

**Rescheduling:**
- One free reschedule if requested 48+ hours in advance
- Subsequent reschedules: $25 fee per occurrence
- Weather-related reschedules (at our discretion): No fee

3.3 Birthday Parties & Private Events
**Deposits:**
- 50% non-refundable deposit required at booking
- Deposits are NEVER refundable under any circumstances

**Balance Refunds:**
- Cancellation 30+ days before event: Refund of payments beyond deposit
- Cancellation 14-29 days before event: 50% refund of payments beyond deposit
- Cancellation less than 14 days before event: No refund

**Our Cancellation:**
If we must cancel your event:
- Full refund including deposit, OR
- Reschedule to another date with no additional fees

3.4 Weddings & Large Events
**Deposits:**
- Non-refundable deposit of $[amount] or 50% (whichever is greater) required at booking
- Deposits are NEVER refundable

**Balance Refunds:**
- Cancellation 90+ days before event: Refund of 50% of payments beyond deposit
- Cancellation 60-89 days before event: Refund of 25% of payments beyond deposit
- Cancellation less than 60 days before event: No refund

**Our Cancellation:**
If we must cancel your wedding:
- Full refund including deposit, OR
- Reschedule to another date with no additional fees

4. SEASONAL EVENTS

4.1 Ticketed Seasonal Events
- Same cancellation policy as General Farm Visits (Section 3.1)
- No refunds for partial attendance or early departure
- Events are rain or shine unless we cancel due to severe weather
- If we cancel, full refund will be issued automatically

5. GIFT CARDS

5.1 Gift Card Policy
- Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash
- Gift cards do not expire
- Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced
- Gift cards can be used for any service or merchandise at Molly's Mini Farm

6. REFUND PROCESSING

6.1 Timeline
- Merchandise refunds: 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect returned item
- Service cancellation refunds: 7-10 business days from cancellation date
- Refunds issued to original payment method

6.2 Processing Fees
- When applicable, 10% processing fee covers payment processing costs and administrative time
- Processing fees are not charged if WE cancel or if item is defective

7. EXCEPTIONS & SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

7.1 Weather-Related Cancellations
- Light rain does not constitute grounds for guest cancellation with refund
- Severe weather cancellations will be determined by Farm management
- If we cancel due to weather, full refund or free reschedule offered

7.2 Emergency Situations
We understand that emergencies happen. If you have a medical emergency, family emergency, or other extenuating circumstance:
- Contact us as soon as possible
- Provide documentation if requested
- We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to find a fair solution
- We reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy at our sole discretion

7.3 Military & First Responder Exceptions
Active duty military personnel called to deployment may receive special consideration:
- Contact us with deployment orders
- We will offer full refund or extended reschedule window

8. NO REFUND SITUATIONS

You are NOT eligible for a refund if:
- You violate our Terms of Service and are asked to leave
- You arrive intoxicated or under the influence
- You endanger animals, staff, or other guests
- You damage property
- You fail to follow staff instructions
- You are late and miss your scheduled time
- You simply change your mind after the cancellation window has passed

9. CHARGEBACKS & DISPUTES

9.1 Contact Us First
If you have an issue with a charge, please contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your credit card company. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.

9.2 Chargeback Policy
- Initiating an unwarranted chargeback may result in being banned from future bookings
- We will provide documentation to credit card companies showing agreed-upon terms
- Chargeback fees may be passed on to customer if chargeback is found invalid

10. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

However, changes will not affect bookings or purchases made prior to the policy change unless required by law.
